Syble Solomon
A motivational speaker with an informative message about the psychology of money, Syble Solomon is an expert on how people interact with and relate to money. Her popular money communication methodology, Money Habitudes®, has been used by tens of thousands of people in three dozen countries. Named a personal finance book of the month by The Washington Post, the hands-on conversation starter and personality assessment helps people understand their money type or money personality.

She was named Educator of the Year by the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education and later was elected to serve multiple terms on AFCPE’s national board of directors. She was also awarded the 2009 Smart Marriages Impact Award from the Coalition for Marriage, Family and Couples Education for helping people talk about money and develop the skills to deal with finances in a healthy way in relationships. (Other past winners include William Doherty, John Gottman, John Gray, Howard Markman, Gary Chapman and Harville Hendrix.)

Since 1995, she has been an executive coach and adjunct faculty with the Center for Creative Leadership (one of the Financial Times’ top 10 executive leadership institutions in the world) and has also been associated with the National Leadership Institute at the University of Maryland since 2003. Her coaching clients include executives and leaders in the public and private sectors as well senior officers in the military.

Her motivational keynotes and workshops have included numerous conferences and association meetings in the United States as well as Canada, the UK, Aruba, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. These audiences include asset building, financial planners, marriage educators, marriage counselors and therapists, social workers, life and career coaches, financial educators, military and universities. In evaluations, she is highly regarded as a keynote presenter for her motivation, inspiration, engaging style, and familiarity of her material and her audience.

In addition, she is often quoted in consumer and trade publications including USA Today, The Washington Post, CBS MoneyWatch and the Chicago Tribune.

Previously, she has been an adjunct faculty member at Southern CT State University, University of Nevada Reno, Teikyo Post University and UNC at Greensboro. She was a doctoral fellow at University of Pittsburgh, received her M.Ed. at George Washington University and her B.A. in Economics from Douglass College, Rutgers University.

Before shifting to financial education, she spent 25 years as a child development specialist, working with school systems and agencies (including Head Start) to provide services for children and families. She began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer, teaching in the Philippines.
